Christina Murphy has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2016 and been working within the ABA field since 2012 throughout Broward County. She is originally from Key West, Florida and has dreams of returning one day and bringing her expertise down there to help individuals in need. She specializes in working with younger children but has experience with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other disabilities aged 2-21 years old. She has ample experience in the area of early intervention with specialized training in feeding issues and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). Prior to becoming a BCBA, Christina was a certified teacher who taught in Miami-Dade County as well as Broward County Public Schools ranging from Pre-K- 10th grade. Due to her experience working within the school system, she had ample information on the education system and works to collaborate with the schools to ensure her clients needs are being met. She has experience with various individuals working on teaching functional communication skills, improving social skills, increasing independence with daily living skills, and providing caregiver and family training.
Cristina has been a BCBA since 2017, she began her journey into the exceptional learning field in 2012 as a classroom assistant in a self-contained class at an autism charter school. The following year, she became a teacher and taught Special education for 4 years while in graduate school. It was then she discovered her love for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and made the life changing decision to pursue the field further, completing her supervision internship hours and sitting for her boards. “I knew I always loved the education aspect and wanted to expand my knowledge in the leadership portion, so I continued school for my Ed. S in educational leadership. I passed my boards to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) during this time frame and began to work at my first ABA center as a lead analyst. “
Cristina has experience in leadership and was named the clinical supervisor at a prior company where she oversaw all clinical aspects such as behavior plans, training, and mentorship to newly certified BCBA’s. Cristina has a lot of experience working with increasing independence with daily living skills, and providing caregiver and family training and her speciality is kiddos entering adolescents and adulthood.
Amani has been a RBT since 2020. She has 3 years of experience working as an RBT. She provides ABA therapy to individuals with ASD and many other learning disabilities.
Amani currently has an Associate of Arts Degree in Education. She is currently a Junior at Florida Atlantic University retrieving a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her journey started with working as a teacher’s assistant with kids from the age of 1-15.
Her career goal is to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She loves working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
